Our first women’s social ride for the year will be held on Sunday 24th March at the Walmer Forest, Castlemaine.
We welcome new and familiar faces to this event!
We will meet at the club’s unofficial headquarters at the Walmer Day Visitor area (off Daltons road) at 9am and explore the trails to the north of the shelter riding for approximately one and a half hours. In addition to ride time, there will be plenty of time for breaks, chats and laughs.
The ride will be suited to a beginner to intermediate skill level (think green with a bit of blue trails if you are familiar with this rating system). The emphasis will be on supporting each other and no rider will be left behind. All riders must be self-sufficient with food, water and spares. A well maintained/working mountain bike and helmet which meets Australian standards are required. The ride will be led by one of our Rocky Riders PIMBA certified mountain bike instructors, Fiona Lewis.
Please note: AusCycling membership is REQUIRED to cover you for insurance. AusCycling has 4 week free trial memberships and monthly lifestyle memberships as options. Anyone coming to social rides without active membership will have to sign up on the day to one of the AusCycling membership options described above (or full membership) https://rockyriders.com/membership/
In order for us to manage riders to ride leaders ratios please purchase a free ticket.
