Women’s Social Ride – Sunday March 22nd
9am, Walmer Day Visitor Area
We will explore the fun sections of the Red Loop at the Baco/Walmer State Forest. This ride will feature flowing single track, gentle gradients and a few rocky sections, best suited to riders of an intermediate level, with reasonable fitness.
The ride will take approximately 1.5 – 2 hours, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery and chat.
We are privileged to have local cycling Castlemainian, Janice Burgess along to shoot some informal and natural GoPro footage of our women’s group riding and socialising, for her short film doco, about cycling in Castlemaine.
If you have the time, please hang back after the ride, join us to enjoy a fully catered morning tea at the trailhead!
No registration is required, but we’d love to know if you are coming to ride with us. Please drop as an email info@rockyriders.com
You will need your helmet, spares, food and water.
Children aged 16 years or under are welcome on our rides, and need to be accompanied by an adult, and are suited to the ride description.
It’s not compulsory, but riders are encouraged to have their own cycling insurance with AusCycling or Bicycle Network, select Castlemaine Rocky Riders as your club to register as a member of the Castlemaine Rocky Riders.
