A Level 1 PMBIA certification course is being held at La Larr Ba Gauwa (Harcourt) on the weekend of 14-16 November 2024. The Level 1 course trains both new and experienced instructors to teach and guide beginner to low-intermediate mountain bikers, in both cross country and downhill environments. New instructors learn the tools they need to safely and effectively teach, while experienced instructors will increase their level of skill and understanding in teaching and riding theory that the PMBIA Certifications uniquely provide. Each day of the 3-day course, instructor candidates will learn riding skills and theory, have plenty of time to practice, and receive personal feedback for their own improvement.
The full cost of the course is $883. The Rocky Riders have sponsored a number of members to undertake this program in order to develop the coaching skills base within the club and to support our range of programs including soicial rides and the 2 Wheel Academy.
