The Dirt Crits series for 2017/18 got off to a flying start on Thursday evening with a beautiful spring evening, some new trail features, and a heap of new faces. The return to the White Hills Reserve track proved popular, providing some challenging twists and turns for both juniors and seniors alike.
In Juniors a total of 19 riders took to the trails with most completing 4 laps. At the finish it was a close contest between Liam Fletcher and Inny Shears with a margin of just 8 seconds separating first and second.
A similar finish occurred in the Senior event with the Albrecht brothers battling it out for honours, Jasper eventually prevailing over Piper by 35 seconds. A further five riders also completed five laps of the longer loop.
