SUMMARY:Junior Dirt Crits Round 1
DESCRIPTION:The summer Dirt Crits series returns for 2025/26 Dirt Crits with Round One on Thursday 6 November.\nOnce again the Crits will feature separate categories (and an earlier start time) for junior riders (3-14 years of age)\, and we encourage any young riders with a suitable bike\, a helmet and a sense of adventure to participate. The DirtCubs (ages 3-7) circuit is a 900 m loop\, while DirtMasters (ages 8-14) will race over a more varied 2.3 km circuit; both tracks can be safely navigated by riders of all abilities.\nRacing will kick off at 5:45pm and finish by 6:15pm. There is no cost for the event\, however gold coin donations will be gratefully received.\nThis season we will be racing at the Walmer Forest (Baco) trails and utilising the facilities (toilets\, picnic tables\, barbecues) at the Walmer Forest Trailhead.\nPlease register for a race or the series before 5pm on the Wednesday prior. This will make it easier for us to get the race started. There is no cost for the event\, however gold coin donations will be gratefully received.\nRegistration for the series is via the AusCycling events portal.\nMembership of the Castlemaine Rocky Riders (via AusCycling) is required for all entrants in the Dirt Crits series. We require riders to have a Race Off-Road membership as a minimum. This will provide appropriate insurance cover while competing. AusCycling has options for family memberships with a ten percent discount for two members and fifteen percent for three members.\nIf you are not in a position to sign up for a full annual membership the AusCycling 4 Week Free Trial could be a suitable option to cover the start of the Dirt Crits season.

DESCRIPTION:Our November club social ride will be run by our junior committee member\, Angus. Join them at La Larr Ba Gauwa\, on Dja Dja Wurrung country\, for a friendly but technical ride! Meet at the Oak Forest in Harcourt at 9:30 am\, Saturday November 15th. They’ll be out for about 2 hours.\nLa Larr Ba Gauwa is a MTB park with substantial technical features and climbing – so skills and good cardio are required. SUMMARY:November Women's Social Ride
DESCRIPTION:We will ride through Kalimna Park bushland\, to get to the intermediate trails\, in the beloved Pine forest – aka The Pineys\, on Dja Dja Wurrung Country.  Riders will need to be confident riding technical single track and have a reasonable level of fitness for this approximately 2 hr ride. \nWe will meet at Theatre Royal\, 30 Hargraves Street for a 9:30am roll out. Castlemaine Rocky Rider Mandy will lead this ride.  All riders need to be self-sufficient with food\, water and spares. A well maintained/working mountain bike and helmet which meets Australian standards are required. \nChildren aged 16 years or under are more than welcome on our rides\, and need to be accompanied by an adult. And as with any rider\, please ensure that the rider is well matched to the ride.
