We’ll start from the Wesley Hill Market\, and explore the south east area of the Pineys. Features will include the Garfield Water Wheel\, Puddling Works\, Dirty Dicks\, Mine Camp track\, and into the Pineys proper.\nWe’ll be out for 2 hours\, so make sure you have plenty of water and snacks.\nAll riders need to have a well maintained/working mountain bike\, helmet\, spares\, food and water.\nChildren aged 16 years or under are more than welcome on our rides\, and need to be accompanied by an adult. And as with any rider\, please ensure that the rider is well matched to the ride. DESCRIPTION:Women’s Social Ride – Sunday March 22nd\n\n\n9am\, Walmer Day Visitor Area\n\n\nWe will explore the fun sections of the Red Loop at the Baco/Walmer State Forest. This ride will feature flowing single track\, gentle gradients and a few rocky sections\, best suited to riders of an intermediate level\, with reasonable fitness.\n\n\nThe ride will take approximately 1.5 – 2 hours\, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery and chat.\n\n\nWe are privileged to have local cycling Castlemainian\, Janice Burgess along to shoot some informal and natural GoPro footage of our women’s group riding and socialising\, for her short film doco\, about cycling in Castlemaine.\n\n\nIf you have the time\, please hang back after the ride\, join us to enjoy a fully catered morning tea at the trailhead!\n\n\nNo registration is required\, but we’d love to know if you are coming to ride with us.
