SUMMARY:Junior Dirt Crits Round 2
DESCRIPTION:The summer Dirt Crits series returns for 2026/27 Dirt Crits with Round One on Thursday 5 November.\nOnce again the Crits will feature separate categories (and an earlier start time) for junior riders (4-14 years of age)\, and we encourage any young riders with a suitable bike\, a helmet and a sense of adventure to participate. The DirtCubs (ages 4-7) circuit is a 900 m loop\, while DirtMasters (ages 8-14) will race over a more varied 2.3 km circuit; both tracks can be safely navigated by riders of all abilities.\nRacing will kick off at 5:45pm and finish by 6:15pm. There is no cost for the event\, however gold coin donations will be gratefully received.\nThis season we will be racing at the Walmer Forest (Baco) trails and utilising the facilities (toilets\, picnic tables\, barbecues) at the Walmer Forest Trailhead.\n\nNo need to pre-register however note that all riders require an AusCycling/Bicycle Network membership so they are covered by insurance while riding. Riders not holding a current membership need to sign up on the day.For Auscycling\, register via : https://auscycling.org.au/become-a-member \nIf you are not in a position to sign up for a full membership you can sign up for the AusCycling 4 Week Free Trial or Lifestyle monthly Membership for $9.00. \nAlternatively\, you can join Bicycle Network – their family rates are quite competitive\, and can be found here: https://bicyclenetwork.com.au/membership/#pricing (use discount code: AffiliateCastlemaineRocky)
